After 29 years in the insurance industry, Brenda made a career shift into mediation in 2011 when she launched Discussions by Design.

Although she serves all types of organizations, there is a soft spot in her heart for the insurance sector.

Understanding the complexities within the industry, she also experienced the soft and hard markets that can create stress, anxiety in placing coverage and the difficulties in underwriting. From fickle clients to complicated claims, communication breakdown easily happens.

Brenda’s training experience began when she taught the Canadian Insurance Brokers Level 2 course and workshops for continuing education credit through the Insurance Brokers Association of British Columbia.

She was the first insurance agent in British Columbia to be a mediator for the Insurance Dispute Resolution Services to support both Insured’s and Insurer’s to settle claim disputes.
